  • Flower Mound Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting Dec 7th

Flower Mound is stating that there will be no parking available onsite at the Community Activity Center where the Tree Lighting will take place on December 7th. I recommend micro mobility options with lights and reflective clothing. That includes bikes or scooters. They will offer a shuttle if one must drive.

  • Trails On Tuesday

A look at the switch backs on the Bluebonnet Trail. They can be a slight challenge for novice riders or kids. It’s a fairly steep hill in that case where you can practice slower speed maneuvering through the corners.

  • More ideas in store.

Trails On Tuesday, Secret Spot Saturday, Historical Spots accessible by bike, wildlife/animal routes, topography discussions, Future Development plans within Flower Mound, Hosting events like a cruiser ride. To name a few.

  • The bike friendly highway alternative(FM2499)

I’ve made a map of one section one can ride to avoid road noise and traffic that has strategic bicycle infrastructure to reduce through car traffic. It extends from McKamy Creek Rd to the Lakeside development.

  • Welcome to Bike Flower Mound

I’m excited to see you here. Our goal and mission is to bring information forward regarding cycling in our great town/city. There are many ways to get around via bike to destinations of importance and leisure. We will be making a bike friendly business list that provides bike racks to lock up to as well as mapping many of the paths that are not included in the towns website. There are many secret ways to navigate that I wish to make available to everyone. Freedom of movement should not just extend to those who can afford a car. Eventually I dream of corridor from Lake Grapevine to Lake Lewisville of safe, sustainable and economic bicycle infrastructure.
